How to play Wordles

An unlimited Wordle-style word game. No daily limit — play as many games as you like.

The rules

• Choose a word length: 5, 6, or 7 letters.
• You have 6 guesses to find the secret word.
• Type a real word and press Enter (or the on-screen keyboard) to submit it.
• If a guess isn't in the word list, you'll see "Not in word list" — try another word.
• Start a new game any time with the "New game" button — there's no waiting until tomorrow.

What the colours mean

• Green — the letter is in the word and in the correct spot.
• Yellow — the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot.
• Grey — the letter is not in the word at all.

Challenge your friends

When you finish a game, tap Share result to send your board (and a challenge link) to friends. They can open the link to play the same word and try to beat your number of guesses.

Tips

• Start with a word that uses common vowels and consonants, like "CRANE" or "SLATE".
• Use letters you've confirmed in green to lock in their positions.
• Don't repeat letters you know are grey.
• Yellow letters tell you a letter is present — just not where. Move it around.
